First time here, I had the chicken shawarma wrap and greek salad. The presentation of the wrap was great, delicious pita. Well balanced flavors in every bite. The greek salad is legit; fresh veggies, quality olives and REALLY good feta. Also perfect balance of flavors and ingredients. Quick friendly service. I need to try everything on the menu. What Lipi G doesn't like about Kalamata Bistro:
The baba ganoush is unrecognizable and bland, and the ratio of dip to dippers (pita, cukes) is unreasonable. The falafel is very dry and chewy, and we found multiple hairs in the wrap after a bite or two, which was horrifying! The chicken shawarma wrap was assembled poorly so all the sauce was in one part of the wrap, and the bland rice with bland chicken was unpleasant. Lastly the maple bacon baklava tastes of neith... The food was just… not our jam. Portions don't feel like real meals, even for a light lunch. The falafel and baba ganouch we got weren't very flavorful in our opinions. Their other items may be more filling or more flavorful, so don't let me talk you out of it. Common Fields has a great vibe, I would love to come back if Kalamata Bistro gets any new vegan menu items. Great, friendly service all around.
One of my favorite spots. I’ve eaten an embarrassing amount of food from this place, going all the way back to the days of a pop up at the Saturday market, or local beer fest. I look forward to stopping every time I come home. The owners are so kind and always remember my name. TLDR: Baklava FTW.
Such a great place! The staff is always so friendly and there are plenty of options for outdoor seating.
The food is delicious here!! Jacob has one of the biggest hearts in Corvallis and the work he's doing is just amazing. The beer is amazing also.
The staff and owners are friendly and attentive, the beer, cider and wine selection is amazing and each of the food carts serves up unique and delicious grub!
