Had dinner with a friend I thought he had been seated so I just went to table. 15 minutes pass and I get up and ask waiter if we could have menus and he very rudely said you have to wait to be seated then gave me two menus. Ordered an Alfanos Special and requested half Anchovy. Waited an hour for delivery and no Anchovies! I had several ppl waiting for a pizza. I called them, and the waitress says oh, the driver was supposed to tell you we are out of Anchovies. Alfano's has been a favorite restaurant in our family for a long time. We've never had a bad meal. We have friends from Monroe (WI) who drive past several Italian restaurants to eat at Alfano's. It's their favorite, too. I took away a star for the atmosphere because of the gambling area. It is private and quiet, but it takes up some of the previously available dining area.
Another gem in town. They worked fast. Did well with a large group. Pasta portions are huge.
Not what it used to be to be. Very high priced and quality of food just seems hurried and had to call back to get total when already asked and hung up
