It was well worth our while, figuring out how to get to this nice trattoria. Not their fault the streets were under construct. Our servers were excellent and helped us pick our selections. The shrimp app was outstanding. A must have. The 3 meat lasagna and pizza also amazed us. I know we will be stopping here again, for a meal and glass of wine. What User doesn't like about Trattoria Semplice:
As a cook?. Apps were good, Calamari should come with lemon, but was good different. We were not asked if we wanted bread when the person sat in front of us. The chicken was cut very small for the addition in my pasta, but the pasta was delicious, would have used a little more cream for a rosé. The pizza?. I wouldn't call it pizza. Always great food! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.
Lovely little restaurant serving Italian food. I had fettuccine alfredo with chicken for takeout and it was absolutely delicious. I love how they also participated with a local farm for a farm share pickup. Thank you!
A very pleasant dining experience. The pasta was great and a good selection on the menu of different items. The pan roasted shrimp in a dill, garlic cream, spicy tomato jam was out of the world delicious! The tartofu desert was just so tasty! We went later in the evening and it was not busy. The staff was attentive and friendly. We will return!
Amazing food, service very attentive but not TOO over bearing. 5 out of 5!! Husband and I both agreed this is our new favourite spot (new to us)... and will be back. Reasonably priced for date night, and lovely atmosphere for a quiet dinner as well.
Not sure if we went on a off night. Our server seemed very disinterested in serving us at all. Took him almost 20 mins to take our order after we received our drinks. The meal almost an hour and half to come and the place was not even busy. Only 4 other tables were occupied. Food was nothing special, but the pasta was under cooked. Seems sad that a italian restaurant can’t seem to perfect cooking pasta. Chicken parmigiana was dry and over cooked. They have grilled calamari advertised but not on their menu. Overpriced for a mediocre dinner with terrible service.
