What Brian A. Becker doesn't like about Sol De Cuba Cafe:
This was my first time here. The restaurant was set up very nicely and extremely clean. The ladies working were very nice and pleasant to talk to. The bacon and Cuban bread were good, but the eggs needed seasoning. Unfortunately, they were just bland, some salt, pepper, and a little bacon grease would have given them the flavor needed. They never have fried fish, nor fried plantains. Apart from that, it is never open at the time they are supposed to open.
Perhaps it was the time of day (past the lunch rush), but my fried chicken was over cooked and dry. The flavor was still there so that's good. The yellow rice and black beans were outstanding! Service was fantastic, she explained what things were and offered her advice n what to pick. It's a quaint little shop all decked out in white. I'll give it another shot.
The food is great here! The cuban sandwich is my go to. The only thing is I wish they opened at 9am on Sundays so I could grab one before work ;
The food was really good, the service was excellent and the coffee should also be served cold but hey it's a Cuban place. Definitely coming back again
