This is my favorite restaurant in Orange. I dream about the pozole verde and wake up eager to enjoy it. I love the historical atmosphere. Even though it features exposed brick and an open kitchen, the noise level is manageable, allowing for great conversation. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen:
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. We made reservations on the day before, which were not honoured. We had a party of 13. I had the Enchilada dish, which was served with white rice and black beans. The enchiladas were dry and the tortillas were like leather. The rice had no taste and the beans were completely dry. My wife ordered a taco dinner. Your dinner consisted of two tacos without pages being served.... View all feedback.
McKenna (our server) made our experience one for the books! Her recommendations, especially the quesillo, blew us away. You must order this appetizer! The entire staff was polite and attentive. The food is always amazing and so authentic. They stay true to their bold flavors and you can taste the care and every bite. Of course I cannot forget to mention their amazing tequila and Mezcal selections. The back bar is filled with additive free products, and unlike the usual “junk” tequila's you see at most establishments. From start to finish our dining experience was flawless! We can't wait to come back and have McKenna. Take care of us again.
Service was good, and ambiance was nice. The best part was a mezcal cocktail they had with tamarindo and chile, I definitely would order a pitcher of that. Unfortunately the shrimp tacos we got smelled like feet and armpits. I didn't know such a smell could come off of food ? the shrimp was cooked well but the smell of those tacos was too much for me to finish the rest. Perhaps the rest of their food is great, but definitely not those tacos ??
Amazing food and service (thank you Janet! . Salsa is next level (yes, it's that good and our enchiladas as well as tacos were fabulous. Well done Gabbys, you will be on regular rotation.
We have been enjoying Gabbi's forever. This time not so much. Our server Claudia took our order and our kids were waiting for the chips and salsa which never came. I asked the manager Carlos and he said it is offered upon request and for $3. No problem but we were never offered. After that the service went down hill from there. Our Queso appetizer came with two tortillas and when I asked for more we were charged $7.50. When we left the two were vaping and eating out back.
I've come here multiple times already and I've had excellent service every time! The food is amazing, and the drinks are really good as well. It's definitely one of my favorite places to go eat for any type of occasion.
