Best Mexican in Town!. Yes, Rivera's does have its problems (no split checks, only one serving of chips and salsa, and noisy atmosphere) but it is by far the best Mexican place in town! My husband and I have been going to Rivera's for three years now and have always been satisfied with our meals. This place is so much better than the Americanized Mexican places and has truly out of this world flavor! My favorites inc... View all feedback.
What Eddie Hegmann doesn't like about Rivera's Mexican Food:
Chips and salsa-4 stars Crab enchiladas- 2-3 stars. Great when I only got lump crab meat bites, surimi crab really ruined it Acapulco enchiladas- 5 stars. Really good. Loved it. Price- 2 stars. 22$ is pretty overpriced for two enchiladas with rice and beans in a strip mall. Ambiance and service-fine, what you'd expect. Overall I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. It's good, not great, and over priced. View all feedback.

Rivera's has excellent food, great drinks, fast service up at the bar, and decent service at a table. If there's anything wrong here it's the hostess. She's rude, miserable, never smiles, grumpy, poor attitude and work ethic. Sadly a really bad first impression of the restaurant. The other sad news is they are closing their doors Oct, 29th 2022. : I wish this wasn't the case as they are the #1 Mexican restaurant in Omaha in my opinion. I've never been disappointed in the food.If you plan to visit before they close, which I highly suggest, order carry out or plan to wait 2 to 3 hours for a table. There is a line before they even open.Rivera's you most certainly will be missed. :
I don't often eat Mexican food but when I do, it's at Rivera's. I've eaten here twice in the last week and have been amazed both times by not only the flavor and freshness of the food but also the friendliness of the staff. Be forewarned, there is a line starting well before opening to have the opportunity to enjoy this experience.
