I got the loaded fries with chicken and they were so good!!! A little salty tho, but non the less very good. The girl at the front desk was patient with us and very kind.Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What Rachel L doesn't like about Evergreen Cafe And Gyro:
Everything was just wrong. The gyro had lettuce that was wilted spring mix, not iceberg. They topped it with canned sliced black olives, and the pita bread was chewey, store-bought, and just off. Also, I could barely eat a few bites of the walnut baklava. It tasted slightly bitter and was not at all flakey. I don't feel well after eating here, and will not be back. View all feedback.
Great place for a vegan gyro. Enjoyed the decor and menu. Shared all of the Baklava options for desert.Food: 5/5
Good customer service but the food could have been better. We ordered chicken Shawarma plates and sandwich. The taste wasn’t like how it is supposed to be. It looks like they are buying the products already made and ready to be cooked instead of starting from scratch. There is nothing wrong with that but it would be a way better and I think it will bring more customers when they have the actual way to make the shawarma/other plates without shortcuts.

I have to say, the Lamb Gyro was amazing the flavors were just perfect. It was definitely the highlight of my meal! However, I did notice one issue. There seemed to be an excessive amount of fruit flies in the seating area near the window. There were various fruit flies walking along the window, and some of them were even dead. It was no fun having to brush them away while enjoying my meal. They even kept flying near us.My recommendation to the restaurant would be to take a closer look at their pest control measures to avoid this in the future. While the food was great, the ambiance was seriously compromised by the problem with fruit flies. It's not something you expect to encounter when dining out, which can definitely impact the overall impression of the restaurant. That being said, I would recommend the restaurant for the Lamb Gyro alone, just be mindful of the fruit flies and choose a different seating area if possible. All in all, it was a good experience!
We have had takeout many time from the Evergreen Cafe and usually get the same items. The fact that we keep coming back is an indicator of how much we have enjoyed the food and the value. Well, today was different. The gyro salad and a gyro were both skimpy on quantity and quality. The lamb was dry and portion was about half of what it used to be. We question whether to return and will try to find another gyro location as much as we used to like this place.
