Went in today and despite it being very quiet was put on a table near ladies loos and the waiter service station. Order the roast of the day which came with a large hair on so asked for it to be replaced. They replaced it and the meal had been microwaved as half the chicken was hot and half of it was still freezing cold. Told the waitress but no apology at all. Wholesome, homemade food, fantastic meaty gravy for a fair price. Excellent and friendly service. Most definitely worth a visit
I went in with friends and I have to say the spirit in the pub, the friendliness and the atmosphere is great. The food was tremendous as well. The recent change in manager (new manager Nov 2023) has made such a difference and I believe from what she has said it will keep on getting better. I for one will continue to support the pub and hope it goes from strength to strength.
