Black Bear Diner - Oklahoma City

Chain food restaurant offering a full menu all day with a black bear motif. My friend had a scramble which she said was very good. I had the hamburger salad. It was just what I needed on a hot day. My other friend had hash which looked like more meat than potatoes, but that was a good thing. We stayed longer because we were catching up. During that time our server didn't come back to see if we wanted water or fill up our drinks. So that was sad. I think that was just the server that we had. Food was great and fresh and hot out of the oven.

This place stays fairly busy so I could not wait any longer to try it out. The greeter seemed tired but pleasant. We were seated by the kitchen which was very loud with dishes getting washed and banged around. Our waiter was cordial and gave us plenty of time to decide on our order. Breakfast is served all day and the menu is a large selection. They also serve a large selection of desserts. We opted for the BLT sandwich and Chicken tenders. This was served fairly quickly. Breakfast must be the go-to item here as our order was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Thought the prices were a little high and the service was on the low side. Drinks were refilled at the end of the meal. I realize I may have caught a bad day so this will not deter an additional visit.

Ask for WadeI had probably the best experience at any sit down restaurant tonight, Wade was so kind, attentive, and polite. He made sure we had everything we needed the entire time without hovering over us, and did it with an aura of genuineness and efficiency.We usually go to MWC, but I'd say the drive is well worth getting him as our server again. Thank you so much Wade! You made our night ?

Cannot totally slam this place just was VERY disappointed in my last visit. As always the food was great. But lets back up... Last two visits the place was packed but the service was fast friendly and efficient. . It made for a wonderful experience. Now to present. Not very busy but service was SLOW!!!!! No checking on our table or refills until we asked. Wait staff seemed to hover around the counter. Once our plates arrived the server flung them on the table and departed before we could ask for anything to include our missing food items or sauce/ butter. Anyway the service was not good. Like I said food was good, and I cant say I wont be back because the foods good and you cant base it on one visit. I just hope next time we have better service. Menu has more than enough choices, The burgers and pancakes are phenomenal. They honor military/ LEO discounts. All in all good place just need better service than my last vist.
