Server Eric was awesome. Incredible farm to table seasonal food. One guy said it was pricey and hidden add ons, yes the add on prices on the menu are fine print for an oldie , but either go there with knowing you're going to spend a car payment on incredible local fine dining and enjoy the heck out of it , or go somewhere cheaper : great 2 -3 hours of time that felt so quick, excited to go back one day View all feedback.
What Negar A doesn't like about Olivella:
Ojai Valley Inn is beautiful. Service was very good and server did his best but unfortunately could not make up for overall experience which was a rip off, went there on a weekday, only option was 4 course menu 125$ per person or 250$ with wine pairing, also some items have additional charge on menu, the portions were too small/ not enough for average person and to compensate they give you half a loaf of bread with b... We had a fabulous time celebrating our 25th anniversary at Olivella. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. Alana, our server, was so friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was exceptional. Seriously the best salad I've ever had serving the freshest lettuce and herbs. The bolognese was amazing and the sea bass delicious! They gave us a table by the window with a beautiful view. Special thanks to the sommelier as well recommending a wonderful wine to complement our meal. Thank you for making this such a special experience. We will be back for our next anniversary!
Probably the best restaurant meal I've ever had. The food was so beautifully presented and every dish tasted amazing. This restaurant is my new go to for any special occasion.
This place had so much hype about the amazing food. What a disappointment. A 5 course tasting menu for $125 with a ton of upsell options. I'm happy to pay for stellar food but this was all garbage. Everything tasted worse and worse. Too many flavors mixed together to cover badly seasoned proteins or just really awful tasting things. Seemed they were trying too hard to be fancy when they should have focused on simple good tastes. We ended up spending almost $500 for two people with no alcohol for awful food.
True fine dining. It was difficult to choose each coarse on the tasting menu as the options were all so intriguing. The unique blend of flavors made each bite memorable. Our server Alana could not have been more professional and really added to the enjoyment of our evening. The setting is beautiful as well.
