What Jazmin Palmer doesn't like about Firehouse Subs Waugh Chapel:
This location in gambrils is supposed to close at 10pm fridays and they were closed when I arrived there at 8:50pm. Very unprofessional amd this is false advertisement of hours! View all feedback.
Like many others, I went to this location recently (during the name day promotion) only to find it closed several hours before their posted hours online and on the door. I emailed customer service and received an half-hearted apology and they asked if I went to a different location to participate in the promotion. I shouldn’t have to go to multiple locations. This location clearly has many issues to work out. Unfortunately, I fully expect that it will be closed permanently by the end of the year.
6/25/24 Update: Made a special trip out here for the Firehouse sub name of the day promotion. Mind you, I haven't been here since I posted my last review. Arrived at 4:26 to see this sloppy handwritten sign on the door, saying their hours are 11am 4pm. And the door was locked. According to their printed hours (on the door, on the app, on the website, on Google... Pretty much EVERYWHERE), they should have been open until 9pm. So obviously 4pm is a massive cop out and no explanation given. This was the last straw for me. Definitely will not be back. What's more is that the last dozen or so reviews all point to a larger problem that needs to be addressed... Whoever is replying to the reviews clearly DOES NOT CARE. So many of us have sent additional information as requested and heard nothing back, and clearly nothing is being done to improve the situation at this location. Do not bother coming here. What has happened to this location? It used to be great, but it has gone downhill. I've waited a few trips to write a review and see if it was just a fluke, but apparently it isn't. All the employees look like they hate their lives, not to mention they're loudly using foul language while talking among themselves (using the f word and n word). They're out of white bread in large size as well as no pork. One of the two coca cola freestyle machines is out of order and the one that is working has most of the flavors unavailable. Several fluorescent lights in the kitchen are out, and there's no music, and none of the tvs are on. I just overheard the staff tell a customer that his sub wasn't ready because the meatballs were thawing. Wow. Almost got charged for three subs when we only ordered two. If we hadn't been paying attention, we would have. Gave a receipt with a survey code for a free drink and the guy who rang us up acted like he had no idea what that was. It smells like burnt food as soon as you walk in. The food WAS good but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
Just attempted to visit for dinner and found the store closed with no signs posted. Is this location closed?
It's always good to support our first responders. However, this location has been the worst by far. At one time in the past, it was the place to eat and support. But recently, the past several times there is either not enough staff to handle orders in a timely fashion, when that was addressed the staff screwed up an online order of 4 subs which were all not what was ordered. They didn't follow the menu or order and figured to make what they wanted. When I called to mention the order was incorrect, I was told to come in for a full refund. Went to this location and was told that info was incorrect. The staff stated they would take my info and a manager would reach out with in 48 hours. It's been 4 days and haven't heard a word. This location has lost an office of over 40+ employees that support our first responders due to the lack of service.
Big disappointment once again. This location has gone downhill. The staff knows absolutely nothing about anything and really isn't interested in finding out. They know nothing about the rewards system and said it only applies to the app. Then didn't have large rolls so I got 2 medium subs. 1 white and 1 wheat. Is right on the receipt but got 2 wheat subs. I should have checked everything before I left. Used to have great customer service but that was a long time ago. I sent an email telling them about the bad service I received last time and of course I never heard anything back. I would not recommend this location.
