The staff here is friendly and very helpful in guiding you through the menu, which is great since my 10-year-old struggles to make food choices. We tried the nachos, which were tasty, and we really enjoyed the fish and chips, fried shrimp platter, and the Philly cheesesteak. This was my first time visiting this restaurant, although my family has been here before. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more dishes!
We began with the fried pickles, which were fantastic! I noticed they offered a Monte Cristo sandwich, something I hadn't had in years, so I decided to go for it along with some baked beans. My wife opted for the Winger Wrap with mac and cheese. Both meals were excellent! Our bartender, Kirsten, was fantastic—very cheerful and attentive.
I compare this restaurant to similar chain sports bars like The Ale House, Fridays, Applebee's, and Tijuana Flats. The service was what earned them a fourth star. As for cleanliness, on a Friday afternoon before 2:00, everything felt a bit sticky, even the floor. The food was decent; the burger was good and the fries were crispy. However, the Ahi Tuna was rather lackluster and tasted like it had been previously frozen before being served. I had higher expectations for the tuna. The staff, from the person who greeted us at the door to our server, were fantastic—welcoming, warm, and courteous, which created a relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend this place, but I wouldn't suggest ordering the tuna.
My boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to dine here last month for the first time in over a year, and I'm so glad we did! We've returned weekly ever since.
