My husband and I had been traveling for over a month in Europe. We booked this hotel for few days for the wine region tour. The dinner we had here was by far the best in over a month. When we travel, we always look for local/regional cuisine. This restaurant serves fresh and quality food. I had pork medallions and my hubby had fish only because they were out of their famous local dish. The sauce for both of our dishes were delicious and we cleaned our plates. We let our hostess select our wine and it too, was great. This meal would stay in my memory for a long time - I even took pictures of my meal. The service at this establishment is five stars - the restaurant was closed for one night of our stay and they recommended another local restaurant to us. Highly recommend for meals and stay.
We ate at the restaurant the first night we got into Oberwesel. The room is elegantly appointed and very welcoming. Dinner was fabulous, with friendly, efficient service and a great value. Breakfast for the hotel guests is included, with wonderful breads, cheeses, meats, and a soft-boiled egg at each plate.
Mmmm mmm I'm salivating just thinking about the food we had here. I couldn't fault it and the portions are generous!
We did not hesitate for a second to take our meal in this hotel, which is also a hotel. dishes are excellent and worthy of a very good restaurant. staff are attentive and cordial. Very beautiful old house and pretty terrace on the front.
After our dinner, I asked the hostess if the chief was an Italian. "My husband is chief and duitser," she said laughing. It was more expensive than the two dinners in trier just before, and I don't write about it because there was nothing to write about, but it was really good. That the sun shined while she went down and the terrace was reserved for the hotel guests, helped a lot. But apart from that, the candy and the reservation would've gotten a great award, too.
