This place was much better expected. We ended up here because the one we wanted to go to nearby was booked out, but it turned out to be a good choice. It is is not a fancy place and is rather touristy (waiters in Lederhosen, live german "folk music"), however, it has a nice lively atmosphere, friendly attentive service, and tasty, well prepared, and reasonably priced food. The Käsespäzle is quite mild (although still... View all feedback.

Wit the huge terrace, this restaurant is able to handle quite a large number of customers even during the peak hours. The dishes are quite normal German things with some more local specialities. The sad thing though is that the quality wasn't that convincing. I got my stomach full to continue the hike, but I've had much better versions of the same dish (Sülze & Bratkartoffeln) in other village restaurants. View all feedback.
My wife reserved a table for my birthday and they went the extra mile special decoration just for our table, staff super friendly, food outstanding and, to put the icing on the cake, a special dessert (lights went off, small birthday song, and a bit of „fireworks“ on the plate). An unforgettable evening!
It’s a very popular restaurant which features some live ooompa music. You can dine outside under canopy in bench style seating, which it is polite to share with others. We met a charming German lady who was on her own. The food was good though though it I did stick to sausage mash and kraut what’s not to like!
Entertainment and not enough restaurant. if you're looking for entertainment probably after a couple of nice beers you'll be happy. if you're after the food well if the place is full it will take time until you get it (just keep flagging the service over, don't wait for them) and the quality may be not as good as you'd expect from the bill.
In januar 2014 the hotel restaurant traube, also known as villagers, is completely burnt down. was the explosion of a heat mushroom in the beer garden. http: hotel-traube.de index.php has now been demolished and completely rebuilt. almost all old chestnuts in the beer garden survived the brand. we look forward to staying in August d. J again in oberstdorf and look forward to what the whole looks like. as the cook of the kitchen remained the same, probably also the kitchen performance should correspond to the 2013 rating: as always on arrival in oberstdorf we take the path to the magnificent beer garden of the grapes. lt. incoming reservations are only accepted by 6 people, but there was still the possibility to add some tables. Service very friendly service, which was also not crazy due to our special requests. The food of the grapes is one of the first to appeal to the good-bourgeois cuisine. we had fillet steak with pepper sauce, bean bushes and pommes as well as fillet steak with sauce bearnaise with potatoes. Costs 26,50 Euro. Also some forest waste yeast wheat at 3.70 euros were tied to the heat. the surroundings of the grapes has one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the region. in bad weather, the beer garden can be partially covered in the mobile area. Cleanliness is of course.
But so is the whole of Oberstdorf. We had a very enjoyable lunch there under the canopy (and a heater). Friendly and quick service, the food quite nice but not exceptional.
