China-Restaurant Pagoda - Oberhausen

After a long walk through the Centro, hunger began again. When this time after a buffet we quickly realized that we want to see the offer here. We had a free choice at 13:00. So we could secure a nice table near the buffet. The welcome was very friendly and the order of the drinks was received quickly. Then it went to the buffet. One of the most attractive buffets. Everything looked really delicious. Besides the usual suspects, there were also some treats that I rarely found at the buffet. As we sat comfortably, the time was slightly exceeded and suddenly with some additional courses to the buffet went through well 90 minutes. Satt and satisfied we could then continue our shopping trip and will certainly not have been here the last time.

That was nix! We're hungry for a visit to the Oberhausen Gasometer. So to the CentrO our choice fell spontaneously on Pagoda. Fortunately, it was only 4:35 so that the lunch rate was still valid until 5:00. Instead of a friendly welcome, however, we only have the information that now applies to the evening rate. My time note was ignored. We also ignored this; have gone and eaten elsewhere. And that's good.

Today, for the first time, we have found a behavior that we have never experienced. We were in this really beautiful ambience today at 2 o'clock. Years ago we were there on weekends and enthusiastic about everything and food. Today only a handful of people were in the restaurant and the buffet was not the great choice. But we thought, no matter if so delicious, the choice can be small. On the first question whether we could only get normal noodles for our daughter for 4 years, it was called food what is done. We still thought it was okay, but you could have said nicer. Then we filled our plates and unfortunately had to find out that really nothing tasted the duck has such a bad taste that we thought it was no longer pleasant. The other could be eaten, but by far no residual quality. After this taste experience, we wanted to satisfy our hunger and go somewhere else. After I told the superior we hadn't eaten anything except my wife, and if you want to meet us because I didn't see that I and my daughter shouldn't pay for food. Are you the boss I asked for after about 30 minutes, including the security service from the Centro in front of my table, that I should go without paying what??? After I told everyone I'd pay the food for my wife and the drinks. Did the boss say what I expected for a quality for only 9€, do you have to pay if you eat or not?? But he would be willing to make 2.80€ I then thankfully paid the whole bill and hope you did not have the same experience there! We and our friends will not eat there anymore!

Sunday afternoon at Centro Oberhausen on Sunday, open for sale and you feel like lunch! Based on the positive overall assessment, we have chosen this particularly attractive location from the outside. What should I say now: We are disappointed! The only plus points were a lasting service and basically a beautiful location. What did not go was already at the beginning dirty cutlery at the table, food from the buffet, which can be described only hard as lukewarm and toilets that do not go as a business card of a restaurant. Here you should often see if everything is okay. I do not want to allow the very worn plates to get into the evaluation. All works very cheap and designed for mass. I don't think I'll say that if prices are more expensive. It was all edible, but enjoyment looks different. So I can't really make a recommendation.

All the Kaiserbuffet last Saturday. Low selection of prepared meals and the few absolutely not enjoyable. During the entire stay in the large pot only recruited rice residues. I thought okay, at least dessert. Here everything was empty except the gods' food and the sauce. I don't know. My husband still started complaining about stomach pain in the local area, and while I enjoyed Rod Steward in the King Pilsener Arena, he ran to the toilet several times for bad diarrhea. Never again, Never !
