Ridge Shrimp Oyster - Oak Ridge

My wife and I recently had dinner at this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning! The service was also fantastic.

If you have dined at Reel Seafood or Berts, you must try this place. The two owners now run this charming restaurant and the food is fantastic! The staff here are knowledgeable as several servers have transferred here. I met a friend here and Jody warned us that we had a lot to catch up on. They have a beautiful wine list and a full bar. I ordered the shrimp scampi, grilled zucchini and squash, and the hush puppies. You have to try the puppies, they are the best I have ever had. My friend had the Singapore tuna, asparagus, and hush puppies. Did I mention how good the puppies are? I really enjoyed my scampi in lemon cream sauce, it was not heavy at all and the shrimp were already peeled. The grilled veggies had a light smokiness and were well-seasoned. Her tuna was perfectly cooked and she said the Singapore sauce was light but had a hint of wasabi. She thought it was excellent. We both cleaned our plates, finished a bottle of chardonnay, and then ordered the chocolate cream cake for dessert. The filling was rich, creamy chocolate topped with whipped cream. It was delicious and not overly sweet. I have to mention the hush puppies again. The texture is amazing, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy inside. They are outstanding. I highly recommend this top-notch restaurant. Jody provided just the right amount of attention, knew the menu inside and out, and was also quite funny. Note: if you stay at a table for 2.5 hours like we did, please be generous with your tip. I suggest making a reservation as the restaurant is small and fills up quickly. The "Reserve" feature on their website is powered by Google Assistant, so it's easy to use. Just input your information and Google will call the restaurant for you, even if they are closed. I experienced this firsthand when I submitted my request at 10:00 a.m. and received a confirmation number and reservation info by 5:15 p.m. It's a convenient feature that streamlines the reservation process.

The food was delicious with many options to choose from. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, but the dining area was overcrowded. Despite the crowds, it was not too loud.

We eat there every week or two. the personal is great. if they like seafood, they should try.

What a find. The atmosphere, the service, the food, all A+. I can't believe we just learned of the fantastic restaurant.
