Amerikas - Oak Park

Amerikas Restaurant disappointed me this meal. As much as I enjoyed my past visit for brunch, dinner prep was lacking. Started off well, a few 1/2 priced margaritas and taste of a chicken tortillas soup and was excited for dinner. We decided to order Chile Rellenos, Tacos with shrimp and Chorizo and Lamb Barbacoa. Food seemed slow the Wednesday evening we dined even though there weren't many diners. Our reservation was at 7. We had the octopus dish, the lamb dish, the taquitos, and the crab cake. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. We received a complimentary churro with a little sauce. The sauce was tasty. The churro was not.

Food was good but service lack attentiveness, my friend and I sat there at least for 10 min b4 we were approached and we actually had to ask for the drinks because no one had talk to us..

Definitely much better than when they first opened three years ago. Well seasonnig food, good portion and the price is right. Really good margarita though. Highly recommend FLAN here. Definitely come back.

The enchiladas are incredible but the portion is quite small I was still quite hungry when I finished. I wish they had sides and I think it’s a bit expensive for the small portion.
