The food was decent but considering the price, we expected much better. The food was hardly the problem though. Our server was very rude, rigid, and completely unreceptive to feedback. When we asked a simple question about the menu, she refused to answer and said she’d be coming back to cover the entire menu in depth. She also admitted that she was talking about me with the bartender and assumed I wouldn’t like the drink she served. She was also unable to accept any negative feedback about the food. It was really weird actually how she kept trying to twist our negative feedback into positive feedback. She finally said, “I don’t understand what’s happening here,” and walked away. Overall, really poor experience. Would rather go to The Tavern next time; better food and better service.

Junction is the Pinnacle experience in the culinary resort known as Essex Junction. We have been many times now, and while pricey, the food is always excellent and the service is usually good. You will get items here that you will be hard-pressed to even find in other restaurants in surrounding Vermont. Their chef Nicole is top-notch and super friendly, and Patrick Cooks meat like nobody else. Sit at the chef 's table if you can.
