What User doesn't like about La Cevicheria Nuevo Vallarta:
We've passed by this place a bunch of times while driving from Puerto Vallarta to Bucerias and decided to stop for lunch since we needed to pick up something within the same shopping mall. Their weren't many people in the restaurant at the time, so the service was prompt and efficient, the staff is young but very polite, but the place lacks that warm feeling that we've come to expect from so many restaurants in Mexic... Easy to get to by collectivo from the Nuevo area. The restaurant itself is attractive, airy and open with decent washrooms. We late-lunched on a variety of appies including a ceviche tostada, plus fish tacos and shrimp tacos. All were just average, skimpy for the price compared to similar restaurants, plus the tacos were bland in flavour. But, along with hot sauce and a couple of cervezas each it held us over till dinner. There are a couple of daily drink and meal combos written in Spanish at the entrance way. So, be sure to ask for translation as it can be a good deal. The all-Mexican staff may snicker at your Spanish attempts behind your back but most of the staff was very eager - only 2 appeared "under-motivated".We likely won't return even though we visit the adjacent mall frequently. It didn't wow anyone enough to draw us away from trying the many other options around.

The food was good, but not great. It all just seemed to have that commercial cranked out kind of feel to it. No real flavor. No style. No sizzle. But it was good, no complaints, probably not a restaurant that we'll hit up a second time.
Tried this restaurant near Walmart and was quite surprised. Me and my husband both had shrimps and they were very good. Hubby had shrimps in a hot sauce but don't know the name but he enjoyed them. I had coconut shrimp and they were really good, not too sweet. Would return any time.
Stopped here tonight on our way to Wal Mart from the Grad Luxxe. It was not bad food and service was friendly. We ordered a variety of tacos and tostadas and a couple of beers for 400 pesos. We weren't full but it held us over. I think it would be ideal for the first night in town, after checking in, and before making a WalMart run. Nothing special, but not a bad stop.
