What paolo barigazzi doesn't like about Imperfetto:
Nice place located in the countryside, just outside NOVELLARA. When we had dinner (end of May) the outdoor space was not yet accessible, but it would certainly be worth making use of. Too many ad hoc variations compared to the written menu: two first courses, two second courses were missing (but one had been added), and the wine list was practically halved. I work in Novellara but I had never been to this restaurant, housed in an ancient Emilian house in the middle of the countryside. The interiors reflect the Emilian style of the early 1900s, the owner is incredibly kind, he explained to us that the pasta and bread are made by them and that they don't have frozen products, which is why they don't have many dishes but with high quality raw materials. first choice. In reality the menu satisfies both those who crave sea and land. We had an exquisite octopus with caramelized onion and ginger pears with wine reduction, cod fritters with pink grapefruit as an appetizer and a FABULOUS fried seafood with roasted potatoes The prosecco and all the crostini and focaccias that they brought us were excellent With The Fork's 20% discount we spent 26 euros each

Passing through for a short trip to Verona by car we stop in Novellara and find this little gem. Courtesy and promptness in serving in the dining room. Extreme cleanliness of the environments. Classic and genuine menu but with a note of creativity. Quality raw materials. Excellent choice of wines to accompany the meal served with competent and never invasive suggestions. Obviously, we didn't have the opportunity to enter the kitchen but the speed in serving the ordered dishes (which arrived hot! gave the idea of a prompt and well-established organisation. It is my habit to check the clarity of cutlery and glasses and they were PERFECT. Closing the meal with an exquisite homemade dessert (really... . Despite its pleasant and original name, Imperfetto is a true gem of perfection. Attention to detail, young, enthusiastic management with a great desire to do and grow. Extremely courteous, very patient (we arrived almost at closing time... and well oriented towards customer satisfaction who, as we know, is always right. What to say? At the first opportunity we will perhaps return in greater numbers. Thanks for now!!!

Delicious food and really friendly staff. Although we went for dinner on a Monday night where there was little choice for starters, as their pastas are made fresh and not frozen, the tagliolini with duck ragu and the meat were excellent. Nice place dispersed in the Reggio countryside. Strongly recommended
