Excellent food . . . and considering it was sunday lunch and the place was packed, the delays were acceptable. You cannot go wrong on any item of food on the menu with prices being more than reasonable for the quality. View all feedback.
What Travel 2 Texas doesn't like about Trattoria Fontana D'ercole:
Fontana d'Ercole was recommended to us by our hosts in Noto, along with several other restaurants. So we went there with the expectation of having an enjoyable dinner. Unfortunately, the service was exceedingly slow on the evening we ate there. I mean really, really slow. Our reservation was for 8:30 pm, and we did not receive our main course until 10:30pm, a 2 hour wait. And we were not the only ones experiencing th... View all feedback.

Great location near a beautiful church and in front of a lovely old theatre. Great choices. We had casarecci alla Mediterranean and Busiata alla sarde with Arancia and cipolla salad. All wonderfully cooked and flavoursome. The house white was perfectly floral and a great accompaniment. The dessert of mousse di ricotta was divine.
Outside tables right in front of the Theatre, most importantly away from passing traffic and pedestrians. Comfy seating and bright fresh tables. My Italian is poor but the waiting staff communicated with us excellently and understood we were both gluten intolerant. My wife ordered the baked prawns and a mixed salad, I ordered the chingarli sausage and chop and a plate of chips and a half litre of red wine at 5Euro. This was easily the best local red of the last 4 weeks. The food did not disappoint either. Everything combined to deliver us a quality meal in a relaxed environment with perfect service. I would not hesitate to choose this place again.
Super food at great prices despite being in the Main Street. Service team were lovely. I would recommend lunch or dinner you should probably book ahead for dinner as it was super busy)
A group of seven of us—tired and hungry—walked in a few minutes before they were to close at 2pm and they very graciously offered us our choice of inside or outside seating. Service was excellent—welcoming without being overbearing, and patient to the less decisive members of our party. I had the Fino fino al pistacchio pasta solely because it sounded interesting and it turned iut to be outstanding, as were the other pasta dishes I sampled.
