Was Kirsten McTavish at Namak Indian Resturant a mag?
My husband and I decided to order Namak through Uber Eats to try something new. We had the veg samosas, onion bhaji’s, butter chicken curry and some naans. Our samosas were crispy br/ br/ and spiced beautifully, the bhajis were all onion and spice and not all flour (awesome! and the curry was delish! As a first experience, specifically from Uber Eats, we will definitely be back for more! Thank you and well done! View all feedback.

Really delicious authentic Indian dishes, our favourite! We try something different each time, and we are never disappointed. The food has become even better over the last while.

One of the hidden gems for Indian food in the city. Palak paneer, Jeera Aloo and Chicken tikka biryani are our favourites. We normally do takeaway
I've never sat down here for a meal, only ever got delivery. The restaurant itself is very basic, but their food is delish! Food is a tad on the spicy side, so order mild if you're cautious about heat. Their portions are also generous and are perfect for sharing.

R85 for one chicken breast cut into 4 pieces... the cost of 1 chicken breast is around R6. Ridiculous.
Truly authentic Indian cuisine, with excellent ambiance and service. The owner is humble, friendly, and goes out of his way to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Located in a quiet area of Johannesburg, this restaurant is a must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic Indian food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Namak is so special the decor is classy, formal with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff, including the owner, are lovely and very helpful. And the food heavenly. I honestly can’t remember when I had a lamb korma so perfectly cooked with its subtle flavouring of crushed cashew nuts, cream and spices (Marks Spencer lamb korma, take a back seat it’s just not comparable). The vegetable biriyani was perfect, the paneer spinach too. The portions are big and the prices extremely reasonable. You’re getting so much more than you pay for. Honestly, I wanted to suggest that they raise their prices slightly. I would hate for them to go out of business. I loved the lassi, naan, etc. And, in proper Indian hospitality style, you do not pay extra for the rice! I am definitely going back for my birthday. P.s. they serve wine, etc. I left the restaurant feeling lighter, happy and content. With lots of leftovers for midnight munchies! They even had paneer korma! Dal curry, bean curry, aloo paratha, …
