My husband and I delight in dining at Martinis. Service is always reliable, staff are always friendly and the food.......what can I say but, delicious. Great selection to choose from and generous portions. You don't have to just like Italian food to eat here, as the variety would suit all palates. Looking forward to our next visit. What User doesn't like about Martini Ristorante:
Went there for Valentine's Day lunch 2 couples. We ordered a shared platter....$32 ..not much on it except rocket certainly not as described on the menu and it took ages to come to the table.2 of us ordered saltimbocca the worst I have ever tasted could not have been made by an Italian chef. It was served with boiled potatoes and a few green beans no prosciutto and in a gravy that tasted as if it was out of a packet.... View all feedback.
Great Italian food with a great choice of dishes and a good range of wines to go with. I personally felt that there could have been a wider selection of Italian wines. The Gnocchi with veal was excellent, although risotto was a tad salty. Overall a great dining experience.
Went to martini's with 2 great mates and they knew the drill. order chef ilarios special $60 per head meal deal and the food keeps coming!!so much I couldn't eat it all...doesn't happen often.it is like Italian tappas. small serves of everything that is good Italian fare.beef cheeks, veal raggout, bbq prawns, calamari and fish. homemade Italian sausage on mashed potato and wilted spinach, eggplant with tomato and mozzarella, scallops in the shell with a white wine sauce. then for desert a orange and apricot pnnacotta in a shot glass..yum. add some strawberries and a chocolate boat and you are done.about $75 per head with wine but worth ever cent for a good night out.
I had heard a lot about this place over the years and decided to see what the fuss was about - I ordered the vitelllo tonnato which was a bit salty- I then ordered rigatoni con anatra which was nice but just lacked something - I then added their chilli condiment to it and it added some extra flavour which took the dish to the next level- I tasted my friends risotto alla bosciolla and it was nice.
Unfortunately over the years Martini has lost its gloss. I used to feel like one of those great Italian ristorante, white tablecloths, waiters/waitress wearing uniforms, today I could be in any cafe. The service is good, the dishes are good but nothing like it used to be... a bit overpriced.
The food and wine was excellent and easy to enjoy the business meeting - service was great too. Will be back to cover my next meeting in the area
