We arrived this evening without a booking and the pub was very busy, but one of the staff members, Ross, made sure we got a table and just stipulated we’d have to order food at the bar…no problem at all. He also helped us out when we were having trouble with a money off voucher, ensuring we were able to use the discount. All of the staff very helpful and friendly, but Ross in particular went above and beyond to help... View all feedback.
What Shazza L doesn't like about The Marsh Harrier:
I can't fault the food, however, the service was very, very slow. No-one seemed to want to take our order. The wait between courses was ridiculous. The restaurant wasn't remotely busy yet we were kept waiting so long, until it was time to pay, then the waitress turned up immediately. Probably wouldn't recommend as the service was not what I would expect. View all feedback.
Delicious roast! almost had everything you can eat, carvery, so glad that we came here instead! succulent meat, perfectly cooked sweet, crispy kartoffels homemade yorkshire
The marsh harrier is a warm, clean and welcoming place. the personal is beautiful and the menu is diverse and interesting. we didn't wait for something and the whole visit was very pleasant. everything we chose from the menu was available and everything was delicious. my only criticism is that I suspect that my dessert (orchard tart) had paid a visit in the microwave; the baked was soft and a bit hard, but not enough to make it disappointing.
We have often passed here without stopping, but yesterday we have finally done it and I would say it was a good choice. jennifer welcomed us with a smile and, although we had not booked, she immediately made herself available to find us a table. we ordered two Sundays roasts, accompanied by local beer and apfelwein. all very good, fair portions and honest prizes. we will definitely be back.
Eating, drinking and service were generally very good. the staff was friendly and helpful. the only bad product in our meals was the eton mess. it had the smallest beats of fruit and also the small merangue. in the ground only saw. the rest of the food everyone liked. I had the smart curry I really enjoyed. we would have stayed for coffee in the garden, but there were no kisses on the places, so we went to the house for a more relaxed coffee. a beautiful meal in a happy environment. I'll be back.
Had a lovely time here with my wife but felt it wasn’t quite a 5 star place. The starter was amazing fantastic flavour and presentation would recommend to everyone to try the lamb koftas. The main was a bit of a let down presentation was like a school dinner and was just a bit sloppy (signature burger). Finally the desert was amazing again the brownies where just great. I would go again but I’d personally stay away from the burger menu section. Staff where fantastic
