What Simon Clayton doesn't like about Di Sopra:
When we searched for restaurants in Alnwick, this was the best rated Italian. I’m sorry to say it reflects badly on the others as the atmosphere was lacklustre, with nothing Italian about it. Unless you count the piped music! The food mediocre and my pizza in particular lacking in taste and flavour. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and attentive Service: Dine in View all feedback.

The food is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very popular both locally and further afield. Very popular it is advisable to book especially at busy times.
This was my first and most likely my last visit to this restaurant. The pizzas were good, but the pasta was terrible. Both mine and my partner's pasta were swimming in a watery sauce, making it more like ramen noodles than authentic Italian cuisine. I have tried carbonara dishes all over the world and this was the worst I've ever had. The staff were nice, but there were a lot of noisy kids in the restaurant.
Lucky to get a table here on a very busy wednesday night. The food was delicious and service attentive. Had a great time, looking forward to going back.
