Miss Florence Diner - Northampton

Our go-to breakfast spot with the kids, thanks for all the good memories!

I have been a patron of the Miss Florence Diner since I was a child. The food was always good. I introduced my spouse to the diner and he loved it as well. Recently, I took him to the diner for a birthday dinner. On this visit, we were quite disappointed. He ordered a side of mashed potatoes and specifically asked if they came with brown gravy. He was assured they did. Whatever the supposed gravy was, it was not brown and tasted like no gravy I've ever had. Chicken fried steak was very dry. I ordered a French dip, which was ok. The cup that the au jus came in looked like it was microwaved because the contents were all over the outside of the cup as well as inside. Both meals look like they were thrown together in a rush. After this experience, I would be very hesitant to return.

Classic dinner experience. Food was fast and fresh, staff was great. Very clean. Old fashioned table jukeboxes which is a great touch.

Everything you would want in a classic diner experience.
