12 of us visited this lovely pub as part of my Mothers 80th Birthday celebrations. What a great find. Food was delicious and reasonably priced and lovely, attentive staff. Such a shame it is a 2 and half hour drive away from home as would definitely return.
What Andrew Metcalfe doesn't like about Vernon Arms:
Small car park but was there early. Opening time was at 12.00 but doors not open till 12.05. Then staff wasn't even ready for customers. Once sorted the barman was polite and helpful. Didn't take long for service of food to arrive. Food was good but a little pricy. Therefore for me, is a one off and another reviewed restaurant. View all feedback.

Enjoyed a great celebration meal. Pies are fantastic but an extra slice of toast with the pate would have made a nicer balance. Would certainly go again

Nice little pub. Good atmosphere and staff. Fire was lovely and welcoming on a cold day. Loved the roast potatoes.
