Really enjoyed coffee and toast on a cold day in Scunny. Staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. It’s a no frills place, with great prices and lots of choice and eating options throughout the day. Clearly popular with locals as it was busy early on a cold Tuesday day in November. I enjoyed a straightforward meal at this restaurant. I had steak pie with chips and vegetables for my Sunday dinner. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, although the toilet is located upstairs due to the building design. Don't be discouraged by this inconvenience. The menu offers a variety of English dishes, with an easy-to-read menu and reasonable prices. I would give it a perfect score of 10 out of 10, as always.
This restaurant may appear to be just a typical cafe, but it exceeds expectations. The food is consistently delicious and the staff are extremely friendly. During our visit, we brought my 88-year old mother for lunch. The kind waiter who brought our food (the same one featured in the photo at the top of the Trip Advisor page) placed my mother's plate in front of her, pointed at her bacon sandwich, and said, "I've put some love in that for you." This gesture truly made her day. The entire staff was helpful and always had a smile on their faces.
Had the steak pie wife had the lasagne Best steak pie I've had absolutely excellent Finished off my wife's lasagne which was very nice too We came along to Scunthorpe for a day to visit our first time and came across Sarah's family dining it looked very busy plenty of local people inside found a table ordered our food from the very happy and friendly staff it was brought to our table in less than 10 mins absolutely excellent food I know where I'm coming for food next time I'm in SCUNTHORPE
I visit this restaurant regularly and have never been disappointed. The staff, especially Sarah, are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. In my opinion, the steak pie is one of the best dishes they offer, but be sure to arrive early on busy days because it tends to sell out quickly. They also have a great breakfast menu. Although they offer desserts and puddings, I am always too full from my main meal to try them.
Excellent choice when out shopping for the day in scunthorpe, kids enjoy the variety of foods and it doesn’t cost the earth, beautiful food
