We haven’t been to poets corner four a couple of years as they changed the chef and menu. We went a couple of weeks ago and the place is so much better. It’s brighter, younger staff and the food was outstanding. We met the chap who had taken over the pub and complimented the changes madeWell done great place to visit to eat and drink View all feedback.
What JulesV387 doesn't like about The Old Poets' Corner:
The pub has recently changed hands and the new landlord is obviously working hard to improve things. I had rib eye steak which was fab and perfectly cooked. My husband had a meat and potato pie. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge! (Possibly a bit too big! View all feedback.
Was pleased to just turn up and get a table. We both had wagu burger which was as good as any I have had before. Great chips. Pub lacks atmosphere but staff extremely friendly and covid procedures handles really well.
We thought we’d give this place a try for our Sunday Lunch. The Sunday roast is £10.95 and definitely not worth the money. One slice of Roast beef and just a choice of carrots and green beans for the veg. Would expect a little more meat and better choice of vegetables for £10.95. The service was average. There was also a long wait for food in a bit so busy pub.
Almost empty, staff two women rude and turse ....did they really want customers ?? Set in a beautiful village please do step up to give customers the best experience
