The servers were friendly and attentive, atmosphere was good. The place is small and obviously popular as it was a full house. For me the food was just ok. It wasn't bad or anything, just not spectacular. I think it may be that I like spicy salsas and food with a lot of punch, and this was more mild. Unfortunately they did not have a spicy salsa to add that. View all feedback.
What Jackie T doesn't like about La Cocina De Consuelo:
Experience was surprisingly unpleasant! And this was just for a takeout order. The owner of this establishment is Rude and unpleasant for mediocre less traditional Mexican cuisine. I'd caution giving these folks your hard earned money ???. View all feedback.
Best breakfast option in Austin — this place rocks!! I’ve had the barbacoa plate and a few of the tacos, and I’ve never been anything less than satisfied. The meat is flavorful; the tortillas are delicious; and the restaurant is so cute and homey.
Great service, great atmosphere! Food was good, could have used a bit more seasoning, really good none the less. I definitely recommend this spot. Parking: You can also park next door at Uppercrust Bakery if you miss the Consuelo lot.

The food is very delicious, and the service is very friendly.
I love this place! The food, the service and the vibes!! My most favorite dish is the green enchiladas with rice and black beans! But I’ve tasted everything on the menu and it’s alllllll so delicious and handmadeeee!! Say less!!
