I hadn’t been there in a while but definitely didn’t feel like the experience was as good as it used to be. I have always loved the “Victoria’s Filet”, medium rare, Pittsburgh style and it is usually comes out looking about like a black tennis ball yum! This time I got a steak that was about 1/2” 3/4” at the most thick, was no where near Pittsburgh style and didn’t have much flavor. It’s hard to cook a steak that thin medium rare and for it to have enough time on the iron to get much flavor though. When I mentioned it not being Pittsburgh I was told that the cook said “Close enough” . Let’s just say “Good, not Great”. Went after lunch, not many people there. Good service and excellent meal
We were part of the after lunch rush crowd. Our waiter Jacob was friendly attentive and fun. Yes fun. My knife kept being picked up (had the steak salad and baked potato soup). After the third knife we had a huge laugh and stacked up 4 sets of silverware beside me. Btw he wasn't the one taking it it was another waiter who was doing his job, but didn't realize I was using it. Food was wonderful and service very excellent. Only criticism would be they need to develop a Senior menu. Us older folks don't eat like the younger crowd. That salad could be half and that would satisfy us.
