She didn't even say it was sorry, didn't say anything. later, the oyster I left was also placed at a common place where they sort for guests teller. they're doing it outside. what a disgusting ridiculous place! I've never seen anything like that. they must license this place!
This restaurant is just the epitome of what's wrong with certain restaurant owners. I can't understand we they even opened in the first place: 1) They take no pride in their food... This last time we ordered lobsters and oysters that had a bad smell...(and taste) of ammonia. 2) The staff has not been trained... They brought us a bottle of white after we ordered rose. He opened the wine before we had the chance to notice the error. (I never give waiters a hard time because it's a tough job so we pardoned him. However, this bottle he brought us was double the the price of our rose. All in all the prices are just too high to justify even sitting down at this place. It is horrible. I've been there a few times in an attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off night. Just not happening! At these prices I prefer the cafe de Turin or astoux et brun in Cannes or Le gambetta in the liberation market. All great for seafood. For a local vibe l'uzine is more typical with excellent standards in creative food.
Friendly, family-like staff is SO WARM even to the many tourists like us. Delicious, fresh seafood that they also sell at their market. Ice cold, sweet salty oysters, great fresh fish, paella, clams, mussels, very inexpensive! These people are happy, sweet and doing what they...enjoy.... Giving people fresh delicious food and a warm smile.
La Grande Bleue has just opened: excellent and friendly welcome. Delivery on time. Excellent seafood. I'll be back .
On our last night in beautiful Nice we decided to splash out and have a Fruits de mer supper. We really chose the wrong restaurant.Waiters completely disinterested and verging on being rude.Food very bland and incredibly over priced for the quality received. We had so many excellent meals in and around Nice, (served by fabulous staff), even in the touristy parts and thoroughly enjoyed them all except this one. We would neither recommend nor return.
