What User doesn't like about The Italian Bowl:
I was really disappointed. Not only with the food but the customer service we received. Ordered through uber eats. When the food arrived several items were missing despite paying extra for them. When we rang to ask what had happened and whether we would be receiving the missing food we were rudely told that it wasn't their problem. So essentially, they handed an incomplete bag of food to some poor driver and then pas... View all feedback.
As it happens for almost all, Italian food triumphs. in australia would not be less, and therefore the offer of Italian restaurants is countless. among all the places where to choose the best pizza, the best rigatone or the best lasagna, the Italian bowl could be a candidate for the best bowls of huge pasta filled with fresh pasta with rich and tasty homemade sauces, so they treasure it. This place is so modern that you need to go in good time or you will be touched to eat a good queue waiting before squeezing the tooth into the succulent pasta that comes out of the kitchen. in relation quality price is a good place considering that bowl dishes are always quite full.
Just hits every single time!!! A whole in the wall but the quality of the food and the quickness of the service leaves you full but thinking about the next time you come back.
The restaurant is very noisy and crowded, so it may not be the best choice for a quiet, intimate meal. However, they do offer fast service and the line moves quickly. The portion sizes are generous for the price, and the pasta is well-prepared. My favorite dish was the meat tortellini, and the arrabbiata sauce had a nice spicy kick without being too overpowering. Be aware that cheese, red pepper, and chili oil are extras, and the service is mostly self-serve. Overall, it's a great casual spot for Italian food in Newtown that I would definitely return to.
I wanted to share my disappointment with you regarding the recent change in your hot chips. My husband and I have been loyal customers for years and have always loved your freshly cooked chips. However, it seems that you have now started using pre-made chips that are a strange yellow color, indicating they are not made from fresh potatoes. It feels like there may be preservatives added to keep them fresh, and they are not as delicious as they used to be. We will no longer be ordering chips from you, but we still enjoy the rest of your menu. We urge you to reconsider and go back to making freshly cut potatoes, as they were always the best. Thank you.
I have passed by The Italian bowl many times, but the long lines always kept me away. Finally, I decided to give it a try and was disappointed. I had high expectations due to the crowds, but they were not met. I ordered Mushroom Risotto and garlic bread, which cost about $26. The portions were decent for the price and location. The garlic bread was more like plain bread, lacking any garlic flavor. The risotto was bland with only a hint of mushroom taste, and it was overly salty. My dining companions also found their dishes to be too salty. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
