What Zakary Schowalter likes about Thai La-Ong:
Came here many times for their $7.9 lunch special. This restaurant has been one of my lunch space. It's not far away, just 1km, approx. 15 minutes walk from USYD. There are over 20 selections for lunch. So every time I can try something new. Besides, once you have made the choice, you can choose from beef, chicken and pork. Most of the dish tastes a bit sweet. It seems like they prefer adding some sugar to their dish... View all feedback. What Meeri Isomäki doesn't like about Thai La-Ong:
Ordered Ubereats at this joint and the food was above average. I would give it a if I could. Got the Penang curry and the prik ping pork belly. The Penang curry had good flavour and consistency. The prik ping pork Belly also had good flavoud but was super soggy (not crispy at all) and had a lot of sauce in it (I’m used to a drier version of this). read moreThai La Ong offers good value for money, with quick service and occasional free desserts. The Pad Thai and chili jam dishes come highly recommended. However, some feel that the curries lack depth of flavor. One reviewer had a negative experience with ordering and billing for a group of four. Despite this, the restaurant received praise for accommodating a large group at short notice and providing delicious food. Other positive reviews note generous portions, quality ingredients, and friendly service. Overall, the restaurant's authentic dishes and affordable prices make it a popular choice among patrons, with some minor room for improvement in certain areas.
