The quality of coffee and the consistent performance of the baristas here are unmatched in Boston and the Greater Boston area. I recommend learning about the intriguing history of George Howell, which begins with the Coffee Connection. View all feedback.
What David S doesn't like about George Howell Coffee Co.:
Tasty coffee sized for leprechauns or maybe small hobbits. I’m used to getting espresso in a demitasse but not cappuccino- that should be a full-sized cup. It was well-pulled with reasonable foam, just Lilliputian in scale. View all feedback.

Coffee was good. Each is made to order and takes time. It’s pricey but it’s in Newton so no surprise.
Great beans, poor execution. Espresso in our cappuccino was sour. Haven’t been to any other GHC locations, but I know the beans are really great. Just look at that capp art
I loved this place! I have seen George Howell all over Boston, and in local shops, so when I was near one I had to stop in and I am glad I did. The coffee was absolutely fantastic, and the staff was so awesome. Highly recommend!
Cute little coffee shop in Newton near the train station. Overall I found the coffee to be good, but not amazing (I had their house blend espresso). On par with Starbucks I’d say. The shop is small but clean and well decorated. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The tables were full of individuals on their Mac’s so it seems to be a popular working place. I may come back again if I’m in the area.
