I would give this place more than 5 stars if possible. We had no reservations on a busy Sunday afternoon, but we were quickly seated on the top deck terrace with a fantastic view and beautiful music. The vibe was excellent and the drinks and food were top-notch. The prices were appropriate for Balboa Island, with good portion sizes. The food was fresh and delicious, with a strong seafood selection. We tried the fish... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Newport Landing:
The food was decent, the view from the upstairs balcony was pretty, but the service wasn’t very good. It wasn’t very busy at the time but our server kept hurrying us along to order. The food came out quickly, although several things from our order were incorrect it was still delicious. We had been eating for about ten minutes when she came back and asked if we wanted boxes, dessert and the check. She said they don’t... View all feedback.
Delicious food with excellent views. We waited 20 minutes at lunch for an outside seat, which I highly recommend. The oysters were fresh and clean, the clam chowder in the sourdough bowl was top notch, and the fish tacos were wonderful. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants lunch with a view.
DO NOT, I repeat, do not order the mahi tacos. The worst excuse for mahi mahi on the planet Earth. Dry, pre-formed fish meats that were tasteless and inedible. The salmon is a much better choice. Staff was very personable, great view, and delicious cocktails.
One of the retaliatory swimmers in newport beach recommended this place for a birthday dinner when we visited the opposite. it became a popular place to visit whenever we were in the city. can not recommend very enough. service, food, drinks. all superior. even an enormous happy hour.
Great spot this place has a great view and the food is really good definitely sit upstairs outside the service was nice and the drinks were good and the price is a very good deal for happy hour noon to 6:00 p.m.

The food came out quickly, although several things from our order were incorrect it was still delicious. We had been eating for about ten minutes when she came back and asked if we wanted boxes, dessert and the check. She said they don’t normally split checks but because it wasn’t busy she would do it. I would say it’s a bit pricey for what you get, but the view and the location cancel out some things.
