Wharf Pub and Restaurant - Newport

Best clam chowder on our last trip to new england. actually the best I ever had. fish and chips fish was fresh, light and beautifully broken. will definitely be back at our next visit in newport.

Wharf pub and Rawbar-new owners. the wharf pub now belongs to the couple who owns diegos, so all reviews are before the last year for the old restaurant. the wharf has taps- mostly beer from new england, creative comfort eating, great raw bar, friendly service and some great off-season offers. shows the best beer in the water area of newport.

My man and I visited newport in our slumber weeks. the first restaurant we tried was the wharf pub. amazing! the hummus is homemade and very fresh. we ordered the Pigpen deaths as starter and were very impressed. the cheese sauce served with these bacon-wrapped goodies is made with a local beer. my man had the fish chips with jalapeño ketchup, and I had the margarita pizza. fresh sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basilikum. delicious. in the second night we went there, our last night on the island, my man had the wing and was very impressed. We had a great bartender! The local beer selection was varied. The turkey burger and tots were very good! I'd recommend this place to anyone May, Great! Sat at the bar and the bartender was wonderful! I had the turkey burger with tots and it was flavorful. My husband got the classic burger which I liked it a lot Is what he had to say about it. They have a ton of local beer selections which was great. I'd go back again in a heartbeat. Great job wharf pub!

Three words: pizza tater tots!!! My husband tried it too but didn't see why I liked it so much.
