Our food was really good with large portions. The bread was great and the wine was reasonably priced. Service was prompt and friendly. It filled up quick so I recommend reservations. View all feedback.
What djokovicofficial doesn't like about Pasta Beach:
Drinks were fine (I’d say so, except the glasses which were dirty, as usual for a Pasta beach), food was not good at all. Definitely would not recommend the bruschetta (just a dough which is served with a ton of tomatoes, not even baked, just super soggy). View all feedback.
My friend and I arrived at the restaurant for dinner on a Thursday evening at 6:45pm. We ordered 2 painkiller drinks with dark rum, which were decent but lacked nutmeg and were quite light. For our first course, we both enjoyed the Romano salad with grilled romaine, charred onions, and pancetta. It had a great balance of flavors. We then shared the Tagliatelle Bolognese, which was excellent with plenty of beef and pork. Next, we split the Pollo a la Romana with chicken thighs and roasted peppers, substituting the side of penne. The dish was tasty, but the small portion of chicken thigh was disappointing for the price of $28. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the service was good. However, considering the value, this restaurant would not be our first choice in the future.
The pizza and atmosphere were both fantastic at this restaurant. The location was good, and we also tried the bruschetta as an appetizer, which was excellent.
I had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant on Belleview. The pizza was delicious and made quickly. The draft beer (Peroni) was good and reasonably priced. Our server was a delightful lady who had a good understanding of the menu items.

Stopped in for lunch mid-week with no reservation and surprisingly this restaurant was more crowded than I expected. The decor is beautiful and there is a lovely outdoor dining area in the back. Service was a bit slow and I believe that was because there was only two waitresses working during a busy time. For cocktails we ordered the red sangria and an aperol spritz, both were delicious! Appetizer was the farro salad with grilled shrimp which was light and tasty. For entrees we had the gluten free pasta with clams, we also ordered the pasta with mussels, clams and calamari. The gluten free pasta was very good but the clams were so small they were pretty much illegal. It wasn’t worth trying to pick out the speck of clam that was in the shell. The other pasta dish was good but the mussels weren’t cleaned properly, so it left a lot of sand in the sauce. We really wanted to like this restaurant and still do. I just think we ordered the wrong items. Will definitely give it another chance next time we’re in Newport.
