The Swan Inn - Newcastle upon Tyne

Visited for Sunday lunch. Very impressed with the service as we had someone with a gluten intolerance in our party. The serving staff knew what was available and doubled checked with the kitchen what could be altered. This was great and really appreciated.

We had Sunday lunch but unfortunately the quality of the food did not match the price. Food appeared very quickly and was dry, as if it had been standing waiting for someone to order. We were given the wrong information regarding the vegetarian lunches and this had to be rectified after the food was delivered

All the staff, from the lady who welcomed us to the manager and waiting staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. The food was very tasty and good value. Overall, a great visit and I would definitely return.

Great place with good food. We were looking for pub food and this place delivered. The only star off is because of our expectations, which were for a better pub experience. This was more fancy than a pub, and the prices were higher as well. We'd eat here again, for sure, but only if looking for a restaurant and not a pub.

3 other tables occupied that lunchtime . Chose hunters chicken and cod chips for the main meal. Chicken a bit too crispy and the cod was too much batter and not enough fish. Left disappointed. Service was okay.
