Stopped here traveling with my boyfriend he used to go to their old location with his family all the time when they traveled nearby. The food, portions and prices were all amazing and the staff was very attentive and sweet! We’re both baffled by the rating… every course was perfect View all feedback.
What John Heffner doesn't like about Andiamo:
As i walked in to get my family’s take out order Sunday around 7:00. The place was empty and the girl working looked like she couldn’t wait to get out of there. I got my order of meatball n bread along with an eggplant dinner. The meatball were good but the sauce was a brown red color like it was a week old and reheated over n over. It had a tangy taste to it so I threw it away. My son had one bit of the eggplant din... View all feedback.
I used to go to Andiamo 1 2x a year when traveling by route 84 it was a bit of a tradition for my family. Last year I found out the location was gone and it was beyond upsetting I checked again before traveling and saw they’ve reopened. Though this new location doesn’t have a pizza oven (yet? , they still manage to make some of the most incredible Italian food I’ve had in America (I was also in Italy <2 months ago. I honestly can’t fathom why the reviews are low, my only thought is it’s from the competition. Andiamo! Let’s go! You will not regret it
Great food and hospitality, family owned and operated. Stakehouse quality filet mignon, excellent seafood. Please note for Google maps: correct address for Andiamo restaurant is34 Plank Rd. Newburgh NY
When we first arrived we had to walk through the cigarette smoke of the host who was smoking right outside the front door. The tables had plastic picnic tablecloths (we expected classier for the price of the meals) Neither of us cared for the dip that came with the bread. It was some sort of sun-dried tomato spicy curried salt oil. We both ordered chicken piccata which was very dry chunks of chicken in a what tasted like clam sauce and not piccata. We probably won't return.
When I would come home for a visit, I couldn't wait to eat here, so I was very excited to learn they reopened at a new location. Well, this was about two weeks ago, and it was terrible. They must have a new cook (not chef. The scampi I loved was shrimp on top of pasta, (not al dente , in oil with a whole bunch of lemon juice. What the what?
My brother and I stopped in for a rather late nite dinner very near their closing time , but they where gracious to accept our dinner order and provide superb service during our visit. I will warn you of this if you have dead taste buds be aware they will be alive after you eat your meal. The dip for the bread was a surprise, as typically for most restaurants it is not very defining but theirs has some kick to it ! and you'll remember it long after you've finished. The fresh spinach stuffed home made pasta was perfect , and the chicken Marsala was just as good. The mixed drinks were spot on NOT watered down and the deserts were tasty and perfectly presented . I will return again and look forward to trying more new tastes. I would heartily recommend this restaurant and have to disagree with any of the less than enthusiastic reviews . Keep up the good work .
