Black Bear Diner - Newberg

We have been to Black Bear Diner several times since they opened in Newberg and never had anything other than a great experience! For those who complained that there were empty tables, but still a waiting time... I would find it annoying to sit and not be waited because they don't have enough staff to sit longer. If you had a less than favorable experience, I suggest you give it another try. It takes time to choose things, even in an established business. I don't want Black Bear to fail. It's probably the best food in town! Hopefully, the administration sees all the comments and maybe it will pass with its servers on a meeting. (Not before customers).

I took my mom here when she was in town from Canada. The portions were huge, the staff was friendly, and the food tasted great! My mom ordered biscuits and gravy (a dish she can't find in Canada) and LOVED it! I got Bruce's meat lover's omelette—and left stuffed and satisfied. Great experience overall. Definitely going back!

I had the classic eggs Benedict and they were decent but weren’t at the same level as the ones I had at the same restaurant in Torrance california. Overall the restaurant is very nice and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and the service was amazing my only critique would be we weren’t given any water with our drink. Most restaurant despite ordering anything but water always provide water as well.

This was my first visit to Black Bear Diner and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. There were three of us in the party and everyone commented on how they enjoyed their lunch. Our server was cordial and knowledgeable she definitely contributed to the great experience. Much appreciated!

Loved this diner. Everyone is so friendly and they are WICKED FAST. Pancakes are top notch as others have said, try adding chocolate chips! Loved the breakfast sliders and hash as well. Biscuit was a little dense/crunchy. They also have beer and wine, we opted for mimosas
