Let me prevent this by saying I don't enjoy driving through Newark DE, although there are many good restaurants here... Ramen Kumamoto, however, has a parking space that is ingenious and makes it easier. I've only had the wrong arms, but it's very good. There are a few things I wanted to show here: the eggs are actually a tiny bit sweet, which is different from other raven sites I had, but it is still great and they... View all feedback.
What Vicky C doesn't like about Ramen Kumamoto:
Alright ramen place for the price and portion in this area. Pork buns are meh. Sauce is decent spicy but meat is thin and dry. It would be better to have the thick cut juicier pork from ramen in this. Mayu ramen has very mild mayu garlic flavor, it is blend in the broth, garlic flavor is at the surface and disappear quickly and left with regular salty broth taste. Noodle is cooked just right but it is not my favorite... View all feedback.
Appetizers are od especially the pork buns and sausage, for ramen I went with tantan the broth is perfect in the middle not too salty n sweet. Five stars for the food, 1 star for the bull with a blue bandana I asked for a pair of chopsticks n he threw it on the table like I'm a begger or something, worth a try but would never come back here to dine, I pay my money for food I don't beg for it so to be treating a customer in a rude way then even the food is good it is not worth coming back.
I was craving for ramen and found this on our way south. We tried it since there are lots of good reviews about it. We ordered multiple items from their menu. We also ordered the Ramen which has the thick broth called mayu Ramen. Everything taste very delicious and flavorful. We plan to come back to this restaurant when we are in the area. The price of the Ramen was $14 and the rest of the appetizers are between six dollars to eight dollars. The price of all the items in the menu seems reasonable.
Ramen Kumamoto is central to the University of Delaware. We have traveled to several parts of Asia and this must be one of the most authentic places to visit in the infamous Main Street area. Every dish was delectable and we devoured every inch of all of them. The staff is extremely friendly and proficient. Tonight their dessert was sold out. Gives us another excuse to drop by. This establishment is perfect for large parties, rendez-vous evenings and family dinner.
Stopped in while trying various ramen places in the area. The restaurant has a nice ambience. The service was excellent. The ramen itself ranked about 3 stars. Everything else about the place bumped it up to 4 stars is. Even though we didn't love it, it was very crowded and people seemed to be enjoying what they had so you may feel differently. We just felt there were better Delaware options. I would still give it a try.
This place is occupied for a reason, the food is good! The ordering situation is a little confusing with multiple touchscreens when you enter. Two screens need to order Takeout and a screen is to put your name on the waiting list on a table. The waiting list is nice because they use Yelp so you don't have to wait in the restaurant you can run around until they write you that your table is ready. The only negative was that we sat at the bar and they had just wiped it off, so it smelled very strongly from bleach and dropped my appetite, because the strong bleach smell was mixed in when eating the rams, that it did not taste very well.
