Great service! I visited Tacombi as my first stop in NYC. The waiters were amazing and attentive, we had a large party for a corporate event and they were quick to pick up empty plates and check on our table. The ambiance is nice and homey, the setting is dark but they have candles at the tables to light up the room. The carne asada tacos are great and flavorful! The salsas on the side were appreciated since they were... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tacombi:
We dined at this restaurant for a quick lunch on our visit to ESB. The veggie taco with beans was the best taco we had there, we also tried the seared fish and the pork! The service was quick as they had now opened for lunch and was empty… my husband enjoyed the Mexican lager beer however! View all feedback.
The guac and esquites are really good! The tacos are pretty authentic, but the last time I was here they were served cold…. For drinks, I has the piña colada which was pretty good too! I like the ambiance and service overall!Food: 4/5
I was impressed with the service here. I arrived as they were opening and I was immediately greeted warmly by the host. My waiter was prompt and gave me an excellent recommendation for an agua fresca. The place is lively with upbeat music but not overbearingly loud. The tacos were delicious!I had a couple of pleasant conversations with Daniel, who I believe is an owner of the restaurant. Overall a great experience. I will be back here whenever I'm in Manhattan again.
This place was delicious! My husband and I saw this place after going up the Empire State Bldg. We decided to go in for dinner as we were really hungry. The place looked nice, but we weren’t expecting the food to be as good. To our surprise, the food was delicious; it really tasted like real Mexican food!My husband and I are from Mexico City but have lived in Texas for three years. We haven’t found a place as good as Tacombi, not even in Texas. We just suggested they added desserts to their menu. We’re sure they’ll be as good as rest of their food.I highly suggest you pay them a visit; you’ll leave satisfied and ready to visit again soon.
We came here at night so the lights were lowered down and they had candles lit on the tables. We were quickly seated, wasn't too crowded and the food was delicious. The staff is attentive and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable but my only complaints were the music (I felt like someone just had the radio on, I was expecting maybe some actual Mexican music but it didn't ruin my experience) and the lack of alcoholic drinks (beer). Otherwise, I highly recommend this place and would come back again!
