What User doesn't like about Pret A Manger Broadway 53rd:
The menu indicated vegan options with a green "V," but those items turned out to be vegetarian, as they all contained dairy products like eggs, mayo, and yogurt, which were also marked with a green "V." There were no true vegan options available. I won't be returning again. View all feedback.
Visited towards the end of the evening. All the vegan or vegetarian choices were almost depleted (the refrigerators were almost empty. Approached the guy on the counter and he seemed bothered that he had to talk to me. Finally he agreed to warm up a cheese sandwich for my child. One gave me one napkin and one fork even though the food was for several people. Complained when I asked for more. I asked for a bag to take the food to go and asked me if I couldn’t just carry it. The food was less than memorable.
This was a great place to grab a healthy lunch before going to a 3pm show nearby. The falafel wrap was fresh and tasty and we picked up some nuts and muesli bars to eat at the show. Service was quick and atmosphere nice.
Pret A Manger has ready-made items such as sandwiches, oatmeal, salads; etc. that you grab from the fridge and pay for at the counter; sometimes they heat things up for you, and you can also order coffee. There are nice places to sit here, so if you want to grab a quick bite and are in the neighborhood, or want some coffee, this is a nice place to visit. The vegan food is clearly marked. However, you can't be sure that there will be much vegan food here. There might be--but there are not a lot of choices. Also, everything is pretty fresh here, so the turnover of available food is constant--and since the available items change throughout the day, you can't count too much on there being the vegan food you want. (When I stopped by today, I noticed only one vegan meal item. Again, if you are passing by, you can always pop your head in and see if they have something you'd like--but this is not a place to go out of your way for.
Menu used to be marked with green Vs for Vegan, however these are now vegetarian items and they all have dairy. Eggs, mayo, yogurt, etc are all now marked with green Vs. No vegan options. Never going here again.
A few sandwiches, salads, porridge, soup etc. Oat and almond milk. Super convenient for a quick lunch
