The buffet food was delicious, but be prepared for New York City prices. They have multiple stations where you can order different types of food. The ingredients tasted fresh and everything was good. Good for quick breakfast stop. Not much seating. I got a bagel breakfast sandwich the guy making it asked if I wantef a thin bagel. It wasn't on the menu as an option, but less bread is a great option for a little healthier sandwich. It was good. I bought a little pack of pistachio cookies near the register for almost $4 they were just ok, a bit dry. Friendly staff even though steady flow of customers. If I'm ever in NY again I would get breakfast here again.
Terrible service. Grumpy faced employees, its like they keep them here with a great force! Food is amazing! So sorry for the owner, to have such an amazing place to eat with terrible workers in!
My wife and I dined at Pax twice during our week-long stay at the Hampton Inn Empire State nearby. Our visit was a delightful surprise. We were looking for a light meal and came across their salads. You select a plastic container of greens, with various options available. Then you choose your additional toppings from a wide range of choices to suit any taste or craving. I have a severe garlic allergy, so I inquired about options without garlic. The staff member was understanding and helpful. The cost of your salad is based on the number and type of toppings you choose. We ended up with a generous and satisfying salad that lasted us for 2 more meals. Pax even packaged the leftovers for us to take with us. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for a location in midtown Manhattan.
