Breaking Bread, Building Community Our bakery has been a long-awaited return to the flavors of yesteryear. — Somebody 's really nice grandma, Jersey Shore Nestled between Brooklyn, NY, and Spring Lake, NJ, The Nick Sons bakery invites you to experience a slice of tradition and connection. Established in 2017, our journey began in Iceland when photographer Nicholas Heavican discovered the transformative power of bread at Braud Co. Captivated by a simple loaf, Nick 's curiosity propelled him into the world of baking, leading him to an apprenticeship that not only taught him the art of bread-making but also the profound impact of bakery culture on community ties. Upon returning to Williamsburg, Nick recognized a void—his neighborhood craved the warmth and togetherness that a local bakery could cultivate. Embracing the spirit of a true New Yorker, he began baking in rented pizza kitchens by night while juggling his daytime commitments. With each loaf he created, Nick aimed to bring people together, nourishing both body and spirit. At The Nick Sons, every bite is an invitation to reconnect, share stories, and build a community—one loaf at a time.
