Havana Heights is a wonderful lunch spot if you are taking the A train North to Washington Heights. The pitcher of mojitos is on point to quench your thirst. The tostones are enough to fill you up, but don’t let them because the Cubano Sandwich is perfect, crispy and cheesy and savory. The ropa vieja the s so flavorful and delicious and the rice snd beans are amazing! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Havana Heights:
The food and service were both below average. It might have been because the special dishes we ordered had an acquired taste, but overall, it was just disappointing. View all feedback.
I ordered the steak and shrimp combo platter along with mofongo and some drinks. The drinks were strong and offered good value. While the mofongo was tasty, the steak and shrimp lacked flavor. Unfortunately, the worst part was that we ended up with food poisoning after our meal. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
The atmosphere is warm and soothing. The murals and artwork are stunning and enhance the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Every dish is delicious, and I highly recommend trying the Havana Punch and Sangria.
The service was not very good; it felt like we were forgotten. Our order was delivered incorrectly. While the food was tasty, the staff appeared overwhelmed and could use better organization. This isn't a place I would choose for a special occasion or for a quick meal. Next time, I think I'll opt for takeout.
The only thing Cuban about this place is the name; the menu is primarily Dominican food. I ordered a pork sandwich, but the meat was tough, chewy, cold, and tasteless. The bun wasn't even warmed up. I requested Swiss cheese but received queso blanco instead. The server didn't provide any napkins, and when I asked for a glass of water, that's all I got; I also ordered black coffee but was served espresso instead. I tried the croquetas de jamón, but they were nothing special. Would I return? Absolutely not! They clearly don’t know what they're doing.
The food was inedible. We had a reservation for 10 people, and every single dish was dry and tasted awful. I will not be returning.
