thep is a beautiful restaurant with a series of crazy delicious vegan options that can also be made gluten-free. the employees understand what these understood and are very accommodating. the tom kha suppe is, I think, the most tasteful suppe I had ever lived in my life. absolutely delicious. only four stars to leave because they are not a fully vegan device. there is also a vegan bakery over a block of thep away and... What Sissingwowo doesn't like about Thep Thai:
Vegan options marked on menu and they offer tofu, veg duck and veg dishes. Food was ok. Nothing special. Mine was quite salty. My partner’s pad Thai was very sweet but still edible. View all feedback.
I read this restaurant from Little Red Book. The patio has a great atmosphere and good for pictures. The servers are nice. I went there for lunch. Starting with Tom yum soup, it is ok but I prefer more lemongrass taste. The duck salad on the other hand is outstanding, I usually feels Thai food to be generally a little too sour for my taste, but the salad is right on point with the sauce and the duck is tender. As for the pineapple fried rice, it's more moist than I've had from other Thai restaurants, but in a good way. They put a lot of shrimps for the portion of rice. Definitely well worth the price. Overall a nice tasty lunch. Would come back again.
Wow. Wow. Wow. This place was magical. Their Pad Thai is, without question, the best I’ve had so far in NYC. It was perfectly spicy, tangy, and sweet. My best friend got the red curry which she loved. The fresh rolls were also delicious and incredibly refreshing! They were the perfect pick-me-up for this summer’s heat. Their customer service was just as excellent as their food. The staff is sweet and helpful. I can’t wait to come back! :
Walking down 2nd Ave there are a plethora of places to dine in, and ample outdoor seating for many of these places. But this one stands out for its beautiful decor inside and outside alike. Delicious Thai is food being made here and the plates come in looking so appetizing you are ready to lick it clean. Lovely and attentive service, not a long wait for the food either. Make sure to stop on in and give this place a try, you won’t regret it.
Good Thai food, fair New York City prices. The outdoor dining ambiance is beautiful, with greenery everywhere. The drinks we got were beautiful as well! Service was fast although our waitress seemed to be rushing us a bit it’s a popular place so I think they are trying to move tables quickly. Overall, the food was good and the experience was positive.
I absolutely adore this place. The service was amazing and the food. WOW. I am Thai and THEP Thai made me feel like home. I love the vibe, I love how they present the food. Crab fried rice is to die for. And although the taste is not as spicy as what it’s like back home, it tastes perfect in a more international setting. I will always visit this place every time I go to NYC.
