I found a perfect lunch spot and not only. I ordered Grilled Striped Bass with Curry Broth. The food was delicious, flavorful and freshly prepared. The service was excellent as well. I’m glad that I tried this venue. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 View all feedback.
What Carolanne Hegmann dislikes about Westville Hudson:
I frequent this place. But on Sunday the food arrived lukewarm the portions were on the small side. We sat next to a loud person so our experience was negatively affected. View all feedback.

Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables like me. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal.
4 plates divided. Scallops cooked perfectly, sauce not very aromatic, chased the small amount of peas around the plate. Beet platter was good. Tuna poke had strings of supposedly kelp salad, fries were sparse and not wasabi powder. If more chips were requested, the answer was "not sure but will be checked". Return with 4 chips. It seemed pretty strange that the smoked bluefish and avocado toast was served with bluefish on one toast and avocado on the other.
Amazing experience from the staff, ambience and the food was thoughtful, fresh, inventive and I want to go back for the vegetable gnocchi immediately.
The taste of the food was between ok and good, nothing special. I had higher expectations after seeing reviews. I ordered a pasta dish with sausage. I guess pasta, sauce and sausage are homemade, but I was disappointed when the dish arrived with 3 small bites of sausage. I ordered a cocktail that arrived weak and mostly with ice in the shape of a juice glass. When the waitress noticed that I drank it in a few sips, I asked for another one, but without ice. What I got was an 8 ounce glass of milk with a dash of Kahlua in it. No way to impress. I just wanted a good drink.
I like the atmosphere. Very loud on a Saturday evening. The portions were small. I had the cod. It was delicious, but small. After dinner we sat outside by the fireplace. Very cozy and relaxing.
Westville offers a diverse menu with a focus on vegetable-forward options, making it a great choice for vegetarians and those looking for lighter, healthier fare. The restaurant has received mixed reviews on its service quality, with some customers noting issues with the attentiveness of staff. Despite this, many diners appreciate the flavorful and creative dishes offered at reasonable prices, especially for a location in Soho. The casual atmosphere and no-frills vibe make it a comfortable spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. However, some customers have experienced inconsistencies in food quality, such as cold or poorly prepared dishes. Overall, Westville seems to cater well to those seeking a variety of vegetable dishes in a laid-back setting, although there may be some room for improvement in certain areas.
The food and service were fantastic. I will definitely be coming back soon.
Food was delicious, as always. Service was friendly and fairly quick, except for having to flag them down for drinks. Will be back!
Food, service and atmosphere are great! Good experience
I love this place. It is very pleasant atmosphere and the staff are great.
You can never go wrong with the grilled chicken plate with two sides.
Dine at this location multiple times in large or small groups. This time it’s slight different. Didn’t feel right during our family dinner.
Amazing fresh food, I think ideal place to eat brunch with group.
We had a lovely lunch. Place does not look like much from the outside. We went in based on the positive ratings. The food was great. The service was sooooo friendly. Almost Southern hospitality.
There are several locations in NYC. We went to the location at 333 Hudson St. We have eaten a the other locations. The service and food is always good. The menu has options for all diets. god for small or large groups.Vegetarian options: Quinoa burger which was special on the day we went
We had a great brunch at Westville Hudson. Food and service were special!!
Really great spot for lunch or dinner, great portion size and not too expensive. Food was really fresh and love the variety of options for the market sides. Got the grilled chicken breast with green beans and broccoli. My friend had the kale salad and add salmon and really enjoyed it! Yuka fries were also good. Will definitely come back.
I only stopped in for a salad and Arnold Palmer, but they were expertly crafted with obvious care. The service was also on point. Sometimes the small things make the experience. Highly recommended!
We came yesterday 4/19/22 at 2pm with a stroller. The staff was beyond nice and accommodating and allowed us to sit at large table away from the crowd. We are so grateful for the great service. My wife used to work around here and has been coming here on and off for the past 8 years. She loves the cosmos here. Also she dreams about the Parmesan truffle fries as well. So glad to have this place around for us to come to!!!
Fresh ingredients, the lamb burger was amazing. Staff are helpful and food does not take long.
Excellent experience. Best toast we had. It’s a busy place. Needed another 20 minutes to be seated. Decided to take a seat at bar. Good decision. Maria, great server at the bar gave us good ideas from menu. Highly recommend this place.
Our burgers and chili were excellent. The service was prompt and friendly.
For Manhattan, I was surprised at their menu prices and delightful, colorful choices of vegetables. I wasn't really hungry, so I went with the safe turkey burger, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Bun really was good. However, the vegetables were truly spectacular. The roasted sweet potatoes were food to my soul and would've taken another order home if I didn't have plans in the city. Since I'm my family's garbage disposal, I also tried a little bit of everything my party ate and was left wanting more of what they ordered. Would definitely go back to try anything off the brunch menu. If I lived in the city, I could easily see myself eating vegetables every day here. It's a vegan's dream. Check it out.
Had a great greek salad here today! Prompt service and delicious food
Nice airy space. Found the food bland and over priced
I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for anyone looking to boost their vegetable intake! The brunch is excellent too. I really enjoy the spacious atmosphere and the warm lighting here. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. They also have a happy hour until 6:30 PM. The veggie plate is definitely the standout dish, although I would have preferred that all my selections were served consistently hot. There are so many options to choose from, but we were still a little hungry, so we decided to share the turkey burger, which was also tasty, along with some excellent fries. Enjoy your visit!
The food was good, but the portion sizes were quite different from what you would get when dining in the restaurant. The salad was noticeably smaller, and the salmon seemed like it had been cooked hours earlier rather than being made fresh to order.
The chicken noodle soup had a pleasing flavor and was served hot, but unfortunately, it lacked noodles and contained very little chicken. Instead, it was mostly made up of carrots.
The mac and cheese was too rich and tasted artificial. I wouldn't recommend it.
A litte overcooked but overall soo good!
Veggies were not as good as usual
The food is good. The service was mediocre. I think our waitress was new. She did not know the menu well nor did she properly attend to the table we had to ask repeatedly for things. I always recommend the assorted sides plate. Their vegetables areamazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and we sat outside on a nice quiet Friday evening.

**Neighborhood Wonderful Review** We first visited this restaurant because it was conveniently located near our hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised to find it was a significant upgrade from the old meat and veggie spots I used to frequent in Memphis. They offer over a dozen different vegetable options, each uniquely prepared with sauces, feta, or other delicious toppings. You can choose an all-vegetable plate with four selections or add any two veggies to accompany your protein of choice, which is also prepared in a special way. Needless to say, we returned for brunch, where I enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles. If you're a fan of carrot cake, you won’t want to miss theirs—it’s truly outstanding. The service is quick and friendly, and the ambiance is laid-back and homey, rather than fancy.
We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The toast was the best we've ever had! It's quite a busy spot, and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for a table. Instead, we chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a great decision. Maria, our server at the bar, provided us with some wonderful recommendations from the menu. I highly recommend this place!
The food was good, but the service was only average. Our waitress seemed to be new and wasn't very familiar with the menu. She didn't attend to our table well, and we had to ask for things multiple times. I highly recommend the assorted sides plate; the vegetables are fantastic. The atmosphere was laid-back, and we enjoyed sitting outside on a pleasant, quiet Friday evening.
Overall Rating: 3.5 Stars Service: Excellent Ambience: Bright and clean with white vegetable-themed decor. The restaurant is small, making it ideal for intimate gatherings or smaller groups. It's also a great spot for families with children.
My dinner last night reminded me that Westville consistently serves delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. It's like an upgraded dining experience, and I'm a big fan...
I always enjoy purchasing food from this place because it's delicious and definitely worth the price. I highly recommend dining here for both the value and the flavor!
