Be aware it will take VERY LONG TIME!!!! Good spot if you’re willing to WAIT! They take their time to adjust however you like on the spot which takes even longer. The worse thing is you’re behind the group of people have no clue about what they want and never bother to look at the menu even they’ve been in the line for long time ????.Then good luck to spend extra 30+ mins just waiting they finish the orders. What Romina Kaboorani doesn't like about Teado Tea Shop:
It was my first time trying Bubble Tea and I should say its flavor was flavorful and wonderful with a super nice and neat person that managing there. I choosed seasam with black tea base and 3 rice balls with meat and seafood tasts and coconut toast. It is so cozy and small in china town area and for sure you will enjoy it.But it takes so long to give a service to one person so let you wait too long outside as do let... They offer an extremely polite service that does not rush into taking orders. They serve you to taste before making your tea, which is a service that most places do not offer.Unfortunately the bobas were too small and I didn't get enough coffee flavor in my coffee based drink.
This was truly the best bubble tea EXPERIENCE I've ever had in my life. They take one person/group at a time, thus the long wait. But it's completely worth it. Once in, they ask you what type of bubble tea you like and guide you through their vast menu. They prepare your bubba, and make you taste a sample to make sure you like it, or to see if there's anything you want to adjust (sweetness, consistency). The ingredients we're soo fresh and the bubba tasted great. We also took the onigiri, which are freshly made in front of you. We couldn't decide which flavor to get so the employee was kind enough to make one of each and wrote on the package what each flavor was. She also included gloves so we could eat them without dirtying our hands, which was so thoughtful. The whole thing was a lovely experience. This place is a must try if you're in Chinatown.
As a decently hardcore loose leaf Chinese/Taiwanese tea enthusiast, I must say that if good quality tea is what you’re looking for in your milk tea, my first recommendation is always this place. The only con is that the shop is very tiny and only one party is allowed inside the shop at a time (and there’s often a line), but it’s so worth the wait.My personal favorite is the Four Season Spring Oolong milk tea with 25% sweetness my favorite milk tea in NYC!!
Teado is a small but efficient boba shop on the side of Chinatown NYC, and they have super tasty tea! The service was quick and it took me by surprise that they gave me a sample before sealing my drink, which was a nice touch. Boba was not a texture Im used to as it felt the pearls were small, but the tea was the start of the show. I got jasmine oolong and the drink was about $6
There tends to be a long wait as they make the tea fresh for each customer and customize it to your taste but it's worth it! If you're a fan of a more even ratio of tea to milk and a more prominent tea flavor then this is the place for you!I've been back a few times, and the quality has always been great.Protip: for my dairy sensitive people they have Lactaid milk. I love them ?
